Hi I had joined 7 days camp of Yoga and its been a wonderful experience. This camp has made be confident & positive person. The teachers here are cooperative. Hansaji has taught us Yoga in a very simple way and easy to understand. Food here is Sattvic and healthy. The atmosphere of the institute is peacefully. This place has lots of greenery and gives one a peace of mind. I'm proud to be a student of The Yoga Institute which is turning 100 years..

Peacefull place.
Used to go when i was kid. To play hide n seek inside. My mom is one of the oldest member of yoga institute and still going.

Nowadays many outsiders, foreigners are visiting and practising yoga.
Good to see them all.

I was really disheartened by my experience at The Yoga Institute and was shocked that none of the sentiments I felt are at all reflected in the existing reviews. I am at the tail end of the one month teachers training course and have some comments to make regarding the content of the course.

1) The most discomforting element of the course is the reoccurring incorrect idea that diseases such as asthma and high blood pressure are entirely psychosomatic (meaning they are caused by the mind). The teacher claimed that 90% of diseases are psychosomatic.

2) The teacher (Anjali) has made claims that indicate that you can get Parkinson's disease from sitting up incorrectly.

3) There are often sexist comments made such as women must cook for men etc.

These remarks have made it difficult for me to take the content of this course seriously. The classes are from 10am-6pm with around 2 hours of asanas (physical yoga practice). You can expect much of the time to be filled with medically incorrect statements. As a doctor in training, I was quite perturbed by these statements. The living arrangement and food is fine, but do note that there is an airport very nearby so every few minutes there will be a loud plane taking off.

Very authentic. Not one of those commercial money-driven yoga centers.
So much to learn in this peaceful yet stimulating atmosphere.
Residential : staying there is great, well organised, rooms are very clean and food is amazingly tasty and healthy.

I have completed my 7 months teacher's training course at The Yoga Institute and I absolutely loved the experience. The Ashram has the best ambience full of peace and tranquility in the midst of the hustle bustle of Mumbai.. This course changed my outlook towards life completely.. I'm a transformed person totally for the better.. The vibrations of the place are very soothing and I would recommend everyone to visit the place and experience its bliss!

Truely Blessed to grow up having such a beautiful institute around. Moment you enter from that small gate inside. Positive vibes of the place just grips you. One just starts feeling at peace. There are various courses conducted from practising to teaching to better living. Fees charged our decent enough for pocket.

I just wished that Google had an option of 10 stars; because this institute deserves it. Its like a rehab for people suffering from all kinds of emotional breakdowns and life problems. I had done the 1 Month TTC and the 21 Day Better Living program at The Yoga Institute. Right from the security guard to the director of the institute, everyone is a pure and a great soul. The environment there is like a magnet and vibes are 100% positive. I recommend and believe that everyone above 16 years of age should definitely do a course here, keeping in my mind the amount of stress that everyone has nowadays. All the best The Yoga Institute!

The Yoga Institute, Santacruz East is a haven in midst of a concrete jungle. Its peaceful and has a positive energy of its own that radiates as u enter the space.
Great place to learn asanas, meet like minded people, get enlightened by thoughts, words and actions. Have good sattvik food and meet the gurus who live the life they teach.
